Braun’s Chocolate!
Since their founding in 2016, Verena Braun and Markus Bak, with their band “Braun’s Chocolate,” have been bringing fresh energy to the swing dance scene. What started as a trio quickly grew into an established sextet, known not only in Hamburg but also beyond the city’s borders.
In the tradition of swing and jazz music as dance music, the “Chocolates” interpret well-known jazz standards as well as their own compositions—always with a personal touch. Verena has a special fondness for unusual instruments: whether it’s chord solos on the ukulele, spontaneous kazoo performances, or percussion on the washboard, she gives the sound a distinctive character.
The rest of the band matches her in playfulness and creativity. With their sparkling mix of improvisation, humor, and captivating groove, they get every dance floor swinging and guarantee no feet remain still.

Swing Breeze 12. Juli 2026 Ribnitz-Damgarten
Am Sonntag, den 12. Juli ab 14:30 Uhr sind wir in Quartett-Besetzung in Hafen Ribnitz-Damgarten. Das Swing Breeze Swing- und Oldtimerfest findet am 11. und 12. Juli 2026 statt, es gibt einen Swingtanz-Crashkurs von der Swing Connection Rostock am 11. 07. um 18:45 Uhr und jede Menge zu hören und gucken. Hier das Programm
Altonale Swingt! 17. Juni 2026 18 Uhr
Braun’s Chocolate ist Stammgast auf der Festivalbühne der Altonale auf dem Platz der Republik. Wie jedes Jahr im Juni lädt die Swingwerkstatt zum Tanzen unter freiem Himmel ein. Am 27. Januar 2026 sind wir wieder zu Gast im renommierten Hamburger Traditions-Jazzclub im Alter Steinweg 10! Swing zum Tanzen und Genießen mit allen Sinnen, es geht los um 20 Uhr und geht bis Mitternacht.
