Verena Braun, vocals and ukulele
Verena recorded her first radio play with her tape recorder at the age of seven. She always wanted to be a singer, a painter and a tapdancer.
Markus Bak, guitar
Markus is one of the founding members of Braun’s Chocolate. Being a swing dancer himself he loves playing the guitar in the authentic style like Charlie Christian.
Axel Burkhardt, double bass
Axel is a poet on his instrument. He is playing the double bass on a bunch of versatile jazz projects and has his own stage show: Der Bass Poet.
Oli Poppe, piano
Oli is a vulcano on the piano! Easily he switches between old style and crazy modern stuff. It’s always a suprise and pleasure hearing him play.
Matthias Friedel, drums
Matthias is our Jack of all trades – he swings his drumsticks in a bunch of swing bands where is always appreciated for his subtle groove and friendly smile.
Wiebke Hahn, trumpet
Young trumpetist Wiebke gives the band a shine! Lately she finished her studies of jazz trumpet at HfMT Hamburg and now conquers the world of music.
